Cylinder Head Gasket, Toyota 3B, 13B and 13BT engines

A basic, decent quality aftermarket composite head gasket for Toyota 3B, 13B and 13BT engines.

Note: this gasket is somewhat thinner than other composite gaskets, such as the Engine Australia composite head gasket. It is important to ensure that you have enough clamping force on the gasket to ensure a proper seal. Make sure your cylinder protrusions are equal, that your head bolts and bolt holes are clean, and that none of the head bolts bottom out before you reach your stack height (head gasket + cylinder head) and acceptable crush and bolt stretch limits. Shorten your head bolts and repair the start thread with a thread chaser die if the bolts are too long. 

If you are running a turbo, you should seriously consider a Genuine Toyota MLS gasket as it is stronger and more durable, and if your head and block surfaces are prepared properly, will seal more effectively and hold boost better.

If your head and block surfaces are not very smooth, as per the RA required for an MLS gasket, then consider the Engine Australia head gasket as a better option as it is a relatively strong composite gasket with good success on 3Bs and 13BTs.

Note: Cylinder liner protrusions must be checked, and this gasket's thickness compared to the gasket that was removed. If this gasket is too thin to achieve adequate clamping and sealing, then you must use a different gasket such as the Engine Australia version: 11115-58010
