In the early 1990s Toyota started offering these snap rings in different thicknesses. This is the thinnest of the offerings, and is being offered as a "universal fit" snap ring for the electric locking hub adapters we are selling, as well as for spares.
The 'standard size' snap ring used prior to this was 2.5mm thick with part number 90520-31001 and this was changed to 90520-31007 which is now 2.4mm thick when different thicknesses were offered in 0.2mm increments ranging from 1.8mm to 2.8mm.
