This turbo system features a Schwitzer (Borg Warner) turbo with housings that are designed specifically for the AR the Toyota 3B engine needs for responsive spool-up and good top-end performance.
This turbo system offers a relatively simple installation, and provides for a 30% gain in both Horsepower and Torque at the pre-set ~8 lbs of boost with the fuel settings allowing for maximum EGTs at 600C (930F) (to keep NOx emissions low).
The oil supply is taken from a factory oil gallery port on the lower right of the block by removing the plug and installing the oil feed tubing. The oil drain from the turbo is by way of the alternator oil drain and a special adapter fitting is supplied so it dumps into the oil pan - no drilling and no removing of the oil pan is required.
A turbo boost gauge along with an EGT sensor should be used to ensure safe levels of boost and exhaust temperature are maintained. The exhaust system needs to be upgraded to 2.5" throughout to ensure free-flowing exhaust gases and low manifold pressures.
A flexible pipe section of about 8" in length should be added to the front pipe in the level section after it leaves the engine compartment/fender area and before the first frame mounted exhaust support/mount to take up engine movement and vibration.
This turbo system does not fit the 3B-II engine as the exhaust manifolds are different.
Our recommendation is to upgrade your Exhaust and Intake manifold gaskets with the up-to-date Toyota OEM versions. The exhaust manifold gasket is an MLS typem and will seal better and resist heat more effectively, and the intake gasket is a thicker composite type that seals better than the early paper type gaskets.

Consider replacing your original exhaust manifold studs, nuts and bolts with late model 'hexalobular' studs and self-locking stover style lock nuts. Toyota parts: 90116-10171 + 90179-10128
It is also a good time to at least check your Injection Pump governor diaphragm and replace it as needed as a worn or perforate diaphragm will severely impact engine performance and economy.
I will be regularly stocking these turbo systems as stock becomes available from the supplier, otherwise they are special order.
