This ECU controls the shifter release mechanism. This actual part is used on the LX470 / UZJ100 / HDJ100 & HDJ101 Series.
Note: This item can be used to replace the 80 series unit with obsolete part number: 85933-60050
The wiring harness connectors are different than found in an 80 Series, but they can be adapted to replace a non-functioning Land Cruiser 80 Series shift lock control ECU.
The connections for the pigtails are the same inside the box, and your old pigtails can be directly plugged into the new box. Open both the new and old ECU boxes, unplug the pigtails from inside the boxes, swap old for new. This lets you use your original harness connectors with the new shift lock control ECU.
